The
existing Presbytery - which was in a bad state of repair - was
demolished, opening up the site for new development. A new Community
Centre, partly funded by Lottery money, was constructed to the
front of the site, with the new Presbytery built at the rear allowing
some degree of privacy. Maximum use has been made of the restricted
site. The Planning Authority would only allow a 'one and a half'
storey Presbytery to the rear land development, and cost restraints
permitted only a single storey Community Centre.
This
project was completed in December 1999
