An existing enclosed courtyard was infilled to double the size of the existing school hall. Electrically operated high-level windows and roof lights were included to provide natural light and ventilation. New support steelwork and a metal clad roof to match existing were also included. The contractor went into voluntary liquidation several weeks before the scheduled completion date, but the contract was completed by another contractor without undue delay.
